Is the word "h.....s" ineffable here, only to be pronounced in the secret subforum?

Please not to mention the p*******e fairy either
..
There are some fora members here with right queer names too, I like names derived from trades, or descriptive names, Thatcher or Major for example (was he a soldier?)

It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

Dickens is noted for dreaming up weird names for his characters. Like Pecksniff, Bumble, Toodles, Wopsle, and many more .... the crowning glory, to my mind, being "M'Choakumchild" (a minor character in Hard Times).

As it happens, the head teacher of my primary school was a Mrs Goodchild. Quite an appropriate name for a teacher, don't you think?
Suppose that this room is a lift. The support breaks and down we go with ever-increasing velocity.

And easy to pronounce, even for those who don't feel the need to try very hard.

I do wish broadcasters would bother to learn and pronounce and use names, they keep talking about 'the president of the Ukraine', although 'Wolodomyr Zelenskij' is easy enough to pronounce I think

Is the Pronunciation Unit at the bbc still active? Maybe I could get a job there
