Exactly.

Would a pensioners' bus pass be acceptable? Mine has a photo.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

I think there are around 60 eligible voters at our station so obviously never experience queuing. Think this might be the last time as they want to close it. Just had my eyes opened with pictures of queuing in Canterbury, must be over a hundred people, and I assume it happens elsewhere. They really don’t want to encourage voting do they. I think even I might think twice about standing in that queue in bad weather.
Seems to be a number of stories coming out of Liverpool about not being registered as they thought they were.

Short queue at our polling station late lunchtime. I voted tactically for my joint-third preference. Doubt it'll make any difference and the former Downing St advisor parachuted in will win anyway despite being the only candidate with a faraway address.

I had to hand over my RN identity card the day I left. The Wren - we had Wrens in those days - she gave me an exit pass in return, and I was allowed out HMS Drake main gate .................... never to be allowed back in.

Sad?
No, not really, even though I'd had an ID card for 27years.

Shurely shome mishtake as there will have been a Tory, all of whom are monsters, loony and prone to rave. No really! They are. They do.

Mick you are lucky they charged my Grandad for his greatcoat after 4 years in the WWI trenches when he was demobbed.

My brother got charged by the RAF on demob for the wardrobes he and his pals cut up to fuel the stoves in their billet in sub zero temperatures when the camp ran out of coal.

Who's going to win then?

Such a simple & peaceable act, but a right won only after determined and costly struggle. My great grandfather could not vote. Nor could either my great grandmother or grandmother at first. She was a suffragette. My grandfather was a conscientious objector.

Then raise the scarlet standard high.
Beneath its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here.

PS The Ref Flag is not Communist or Marxist. Nor does it belong to the Labour Party. It is socialist.

Well said!
Sadly to some peole these days think Socialism is a swear word.
