Need to wear a jumper up here near the coast. And yesterday we barely managed 20C.

We drove down to Helston today. Left home 11am, home 4pm.
Long story why.

2hrs there, and slightly less coming back.

28degC both ways. I was driving, and coming back easterly, the sun was on me (on the south side of the car) and not on Mrs Mick F.
Aircon/Climate Control on, and set for 17degC.

We got home, and she announced ............
"Thank goodness I can get out, so I can warm up!"

NATURAL ANKLING wrote: 22 Jul 2021, 12:11pm Hi,
34C last few days.
Monday noticed the cool air at night through the marshes...............normally it chills in winter time.

Spoke to docs yesterday and said stop taking candesartan, which I believe is my problem.
I have been in a black hole for at least three years and I keep going hoping one day I will change for the better.

A few months ago I was in melt down and had to stop every 1/4 of a mile coming home from a ride of just 1.5 - 2.5 hours.

Go to bed with pain in muscles and joints wake the same......................if I remain stationary for 30 minutes then it comes on only moving gives relief.......................................
That's horrible does the heat of this summer improve or make it worse?
I am here. Where are you?

There is a change on the way.
The rain radar shows a lot of hefty thundestorms heading into SW England and later S Wales and England.
They look very active.

Good time to check drains and grids etc are clear?
That's what I'm going to do.
It's so dry here a great deal of any heavy rain will run straight off.

Nothing forecast at all except sunny intervals and a breeze ..................... until tonight and tomorrow and Sunday when heavy rains are forecast.

Rain Today radar shows heavy rain over Brittany and circulating anticlockwise, so it will miss us for today. (fingers crossed)

I have the Air-con on lowest setting about 75% of the year 8) I've never understood the 'driving with windows down' idea as it just blows and circulates hot air on warmer days :| I also hate the wind noise.

My first car was a Polo and it had the best ventilation system ever on a car; the ability to have cold air on your face and warm air on your feet at the same time. I can’t stand warm air on my face at any time of the year. I have a later model Polo now and neither that nor any car in between could do the air combo thing and I simply don’t understand why it isn’t an option.

I have climate control so I can do this but only on opposite sides of the car.

My first car was a Hillman imp.
It had 'through the floor' ventilation.
Great in hot weather. Not so good in the rain...made a mini swimming pool in the footwell

Our fourth car was an Imp. Second one.
Bought in Plymouth 1983 ish.

Mrs Mick F passed her driving test in a Mini in Dunfermline 1979, then we bought her an Imp as a second car.

It was another scorcher today, so spent the day mostly in the shade.
Checked the forecast for tomorrow (Sat) as lots of people saying we were in for a big storm.
Not much forecast here at all.
Decided to paint the fence while it was bone dry.
You guessed it........
sky went black, thunder, then almighty downpour from nowhere.
Probably had almost an inch in half an hour.

Neighbours arrived back from a trip to town 6 miles away and nothing there. :?

Paint gone.

Scorching again half an hour later.

Yesterday was a steady 31 degrees all day -- I too spent most of the day under the trees with a welcome breeze at my back.
I am here. Where are you?
