Hi,
South Devon.
Warm overcast so did not expect rain evening last night, but mild and only rain was near sea level (inland river town) no jacket needed, I was in shorts and t shirt, the rest I saw wore long trousers and dayglow tops :P
Its hot-ing up for weekend, perfect camping and cycling weather.

Too hot here IMO.

Out riding this morning at soon after 9am planning on a 3hr 30mile loop.
Far too hot, so cut it short to 16miles.

Temperature was between 22 and 28 .............. all in the shade.
I have a Garmin Tempe fitted under my seat-pack so it's in the breeze as a ride and in the shade too.

Pleasantly cool today, only ~23°C. Last year I saw a headline from the Belfast Telegraph describing 23° as a heatwave.

32° forecast for <fumbles quickly through Meteo Blue> Thursday here (not Belfast).
Have we got time for another cuppa?

I wish I could get out in the heat wave -- I'll suspect the moment I'm well enough to get on a nice long cycle it'll be back to our usual Baltic summers in NI.

Sympathies. When I went back to NI for a wedding in July 1995 I took shorts and ended up borrowing a parka.

As it is, I'm in a bit of a cleft stick, or soon will be: my cardiologist tells me not to ride when it's over 30°C and if this summer is like the last one it'll be that every day. What chance of a 12-hour ride without being out in the sun? SFA.

Glorious but hot today (again).
Out in the garden before the heat set in, brushcutting, strimming and grasscutting. All done by 10:30 and in for a cuppa.
Having a shower soon, as I've got bits of grass particles stuck in a variety of places!

There is some bigger bits deep in the shadows of the Bizzle, but snow where the sun shines in June!

I noticed the snow on Monday. It is the only time in the almost 40 years I have lived up here in sight of these hills that i have seen snow in June.

Was that you in the Bowmont Valley?

Lovely picture, by the way. Thanks for showing.
Indeed it was the Bowmont valley, just before the road splits

As of 13 June, snow has all gone from King Seat now but managed to fins a little high up in the Bizzle, doubt it will make it until 21st June (beg. real summer)

95 was a real hot summer here -- the reason I remember clearly was that my middle son was born that year, he spent most of his first summer in a nappy only and on some days we had to put a sheet of 3mm ply over the outside of the kitchen window ( was a big 70's style south facing window ) to keep the kitchen temperature down to tolerable levels.

Just to add a bit to this ............

I've lit the fire today.
Not too warm today in the slightest. Not cold, but decidedly cool.
Not much sun, and rather cloudy all day. Started off misty and damp.

Took a photo this afternoon. Dark clouds moving north to south, and the high white clouds moving south to north!

Distinctly cooler, cloudy and with hill fog today but no rain so far. I have lit the fire for the first time in ages. BRRRR

Yep.
Very odd today.

Met Office and BBC Weather had warnings of thunderstorms this afternoon.
Nowhere near correct, either of them.

They also said sunny intervals ........... whatever that means.

Just an addition .................. this morning, Met Office and BBC said it would be bright with sunny intervals.
Check later, and they've changed their tune.

Yes, we had a sunny interval or two - maybe three - but that was it.
Decidedly cloudy most of the day.
Check in to their sites now, and that's what they say now.
Hindsight is an exact science eh?
