Cold and cloudy but nearly dry, some spitting drops only. Relatively calm yesterday (32.5 miles pedal), quite a lot windier today (30 miles). Should be OK tomorrow for another 30 miles! All very nice on my 30 speed, touring geared, full carbon KTM - had been keeping for summer, but that may never come for me, so ride it all the time except for heavy rain!

Seven months of damp dreary weather seems to have finished at last.

Just come in for a cuppa after cutting the grass for the first time since August 31st last year.
Had to cut it on the highest setting, so it'll need doing again in a few days .......... weather permitting.

Just below freezing when I left home at 6 a.m. A lovely clear morning with light winds. Now, 10:30 it is about 6 degrees and brightly sunny.

Lovely day again here. A bit cool at first, but warming up nicely.
A bit of gardening and bike tinkering outside in the sunshine this afternoon ............. followed by a few beers on the patio.

Never mentioned ........... the last time the lawnmower was used was 31st August like I said, but it started eventually. It normally takes two or three pulls of the cord, though yesterday I nearly gave up after a dozen pulls ........ then it bust into life! :D

A bit overcast to start but up and away at 9 for my days activity of 20 miles on what will probably become a regular circuit. Halfway round the sun came out and stayed there so on my return I had the pleasure of sitting on my patio for the first time this year. Then it was a bit of gardening either side of lunch. Dinner has just gone on and it’s still bright out there.

Seriously overdressed on my ride today. Shorts and t-shirt would have been fine.
Stopped off at the local ‘mineral spa’ and took a few snaps.
I know I have been Tangoed!

It's wonderfully warm in the sunshine here, but out of the sun and in the breeze it ain't wonderfully warm at all.
Loadsa windchill.

Out on my ride, I was too hot and overdressed ........... then I headed homewards into the wind, and I wasn't overdressed at all.

Sunny and warm here in south staffs today, north easterly wind so headed north for a tailwind back! If it's a southerly wind I head south! Obvious I'd have thought?

A narrow U shape, bit flatter if I head north. Wouldn't fancy living anywhere too hilly......no pleasure in cycling!

To me, there's no pleasure in cycling UNLESS there's hills.
Flatlandia is a boring cycling place.

Climbing a good hill is a pleasure, and coming down them is a buzz. :D

Well said. For me there is a buzz in getting up then too when you find that sweet spot just at the limit of what you can sustain.
