Just in from my third ride in icy conditions -- I think today was the coldest at about freezing or just below.

I took the young lad out the second time and as I hit the first patch of ice down the lane I panicked cos I wondered if the young boy would fall off and I'd get an eating from the wife but while I was shouting at the young boy behind me I lost all grip and gently went down on my arz legs like a crashed helicopter. It was that film of water on top of ice that done me in. Nothin hurt but my pride. All I could hear was the young boy laughing.

We don't even want to DRIVE in these icy conditions. Ok on the main roads, but absolutely treacherous on the lanes. Walking can be difficult too.

Next week is forecast to be non-icy .......... so I may get my first ride of the year! :D

Only doing shopping trips until lockdown is over :( . Weather hasn't really justified their use, yet.

It's snowed here (Gildersome, South Leeds) without let-up all day. Judging by the neighbours' cars gone to work, it didn't start much before 6am. Last week's snow had gone so today's is all new. It's not the typical large snowflakes which float down and settle but very fine. There's no wind so no drifts but I just measured it as 4" deep. By the standards of round here, that's a lot of snow.
