Hi,
Sun is shining but we just had a hailstorm.
Tomorrow is meant to be best day of the week and Thursday will be dry hopefully.
The car needs sorting, walking everywhere, washing machines been on the blink for six months, fridge freezer thermostat went haywire yesterday, something else is bound to go wrong any time soon.
The rats are back in the garden, eating all the bird food, but the birds are back filling the boxes.
I think the hedgehogs are also around two.

Covered with snow again this morning.
Colder than yesterday, and not raining now so snow'll lig longer and maybe freeze tonight.
Bit of sunshine at the moment though.
Birds tucking into their breakfast.

The sun was shining, got my kit on, and set off up Gunnislake hill with a will.
Got to the top, and it's blowing a hooligan of a headwind and then the rain lashed down. Good job I half expected it, but I didn't expect the icy blast of wind and heavy rain in my face.

Battled on for a mile or so, then chickened out and turned off and followed the sheltered lanes back home.

6.6miles done.
Home, cold and damp, cup of tea to warm me up.

The sun is shining again. Seems pleasant down here in the valley, but it belies the real weather out there!

Weather forecast was right though, as it's chucking it down again.

Next nice(?) day forecast is Thursday.
This is getting to be a pain in the wotsit. My cycling is really taking a hit, but I'm very glad there's no snow or ice or flooding here.

I pity those poor folk who are really suffering with this weather. My heart goes out to them.

Managed only one ride in the last 7 days, it was a real pleasure in the sunshine, managed about 15 miles.. Walking in the countryside is a pain with sticky mud everywhere lots of Ramblers walks cancelled.

Felt sorry for the folk who have been flooded out in Pontypridd and the Rhondda, many have no insurance so if you can afford it send them a few quid.

Touring on a bicycle is a great way to explore and appreciate the countryside and towns you pass through. What do you do to make a difference?

I was outside this morning replanting in the garden and very nice it was too. Within seconds of coming in we had a hail storm and it’s been squally ever since. Not been out on the bike since spin class last Tuesday due to a combination of rubbish weather and having a huge and rotten wisdom tooth removed which has knocked me for six. It was only my third visit and first treatment in 36 years so I suppose I have been lucky but it’s a bit unexpected.

The best laid plans of mice and men .................

Sun shining, dry, chilly and windy. I get dressed into my gear, get the bike ready and outside ............................and then it chucks it down with sleet and cold icy rain.
Bike back in and have a cuppa. Ain't going out in that.

Forget the ride today. It's supposed to be a pleasure, not torture.

Pretty much identical here: sleet clinging to the forest on the hills, cold, cold rain down here. Anybody would think it was winter. Oh - we're promised thunderstorms around lunchtime.
Have we got time for another cuppa?

Beautiful day here. Cloudless skies, snow on the hills, full sunshine.

But bitterly cold.

I think, to endorse Mick's sentiments, that peetee's comments sum it all up - "You MIGHT be OK this afternoon..................been dry here all morning".
IT'S BEEN THE WAY OF IT FOR MONTHS,THAT DRY MORNING ENDS IN WET AFTERNOON - PROMISE OF DRY AFTERNOON HAS BEEN PRECEDED BY WET MORNING, AND A COUPLE OF HOURS WET OVER MIDDAY HAS WRECKED A DAY'S CYCLING.
Yep - it's been like that for flippin' months.
The only variation has been snow/sleet/hail in the place of rain.

And we didn't even get the fun of a thunderstorm. Hills currently invisible behind sheets of sleet & rain. <puke>

Spot on.

Flippin' months.
