Yesterday rather than today and you don't know whether to laugh or cry A large, white builders' tranny parked on the footway with little room for pedestrians with the usual "CYCLISTS STAY BACK" sign but on the side a warning to pedestrians not to go near the vehicle at any time,

Very annoying, and very ironic!

A week or two back, there was a car part-parked on the narrow pavement here. Facing oncoming traffic.

I had the dog on the lead, but although he could get past, I couldn't due to the big door mirror .......... so I folded it back.
Hopefully the driver (when he/she got back to the car) would have seen the inconvenience to pedestrians ........... and what about mobility scooters?

Well-spotted, sir! (I'm presuming you are not Mrs/Dame?Lady/Baroness Colin)

I missed that. I was wondering what the inappropriate name was and I was a bit disappointed when it wasn't something naughty, so I didn't read beyond chairman

Someone on the radio called it Omnicron this morning, that might turn out to be a more apt name.

Reported comments by Emmanuel Macron branding Boris Johnson a “clown” and a “knucklehead” were unhelpful, a Government minister has said.
Note he said they were unhelpful, he didn't say they were wrong
