How did you manage that? Skimmed all the mating surfaces?
(Don't tell me it was oil tight from the factory, that's a step too far. )
You can usually do this with RTV silicone gasket stuff.

Has a couple of side panniers and plenty of room for pots and kitchen sink.
Now looking to swap this for a lighter bike as it's a bit on the heavy side for my old muscles.
Possibles are RE Himalayan or Honda CB500X

Do cyclists also enjoy a powered two wheel experience?
I'm a newbie cyclist at 52, I'm really enjoying it, my average trip is around 20 miles per day.
I love the quiet and peace (I cycle in the countryside) I like the feeling of exercise and the sense of achievement.
I also like the simplicity of the machine and the economy.
I've been riding motorcycles all my life, plus working with them, etc.
Bicycles are different in many ways but the over riding feeling is the same. Freedom.

I still hanker after one last two stroke but prices have gone mad for things like Yamaha 250/350 LCs
Prices for Elsie's have plateaued now and I think fell back a bit while prices of enduro bikes have gone up big time -- but most of these old two stroke road bikes aren't great to ride -- buy a TDR250 it's completely unique and still affordable --( finding one is more of a challenge ) no other bike is ( or will ever again with emission laws now ) built in this format. The best thing is that the handling ( with road tyres ) is light years ahead of the Elsie's.
Get quite a feeling of nostalgia when I smell a two stroke going by especially if it's got the real petroil mix smell. Even the humble MZ seems to be going for quite high prices these days.
I had a Suzuki Super Six , second bike I had on the road at 16 after a few unpleasant weeks with an Ariel Arrow. The Suzuki could keep up with most of the five hundreds and even some older six fifties. Wouldn't mind one now for old times sake.
Just sold a load of bikes some of which I'd had for over 20 years. Ductai ST4S , Honda CB750 K1, Kawasaki GPZ900 and BSA A10 all gone in the last 18 months.
