Another potential for an increase.... The Government is suggesting that couples should live together to avoid changing households.

Especially loved the advice that they could then "exercise together"

Ooooooer Missus!

Heard on the news this morning about that.
The question was about non-cohabiting couples.

The advice was ........... "move in, or cool it".

It's getting worse

Malaysia’s Karex Bhd, which produces one-fifth of condoms globally, had to close its three factories because of the lockdown enforced by the Malaysian government.

Over this period, the company would usually make 100 million condoms.

The factories reopened on Friday after being exempted from the restrictions, but are only operating at half capacity.

Thread resurrection alert

An expert reports that no significant change in the number of babies is expected, although in crisis there are often fewer babies, so no change could be 'more' actually

Surely that's far fewer than one would expect in any period of a few days?

The figure is wholly inaccurate.Quarantine is a ninth of a year suggesting 792 couples, out of a billion population get a divorce. We have that many annually in Barnsley.

Looks like This cv Madness could last long enough to make a baby or two and bring them up, when work reopens one could take parent leave then

Births do cluster, generally recognised factors are:

Drunken Christmases
Holiday romances
Spring fever

Why not take advantage of this?. Statistically, if there are 22 people in a room there is a 50:50 chance that two people have the same birthday but because of clustering it's actually better than that.

It's a great and sometimes profitable party trick (when in a medium sized social gathering) to make people call out their birthday having first bet that there will be at least two people with the same birthday.
