Re: How Many Bog Rolls Do You Have Hoarded?

I'll admit to having 34 (just counted).

In my defence they're the remains of my annual Costco 'bale' bought at least 6 months ago (which in itself was a mistake since when I came to store them I discovered I'd still got the remains of a previous bale).

(If anyone wants one, PM me. I'll leave it on the drive. ;) )
P.S Costco had loads on Tuesday.

None. They are readily available at most small shops. Only supermarkets seem to be sold out.

We've got five or six, and certainly not hoarded.
Can't answer the poll because the five or six isn't in the list, and is suggests that we are hoarding.

Why are you hoarding?

I differentiate between rushing out and buying as many as you can because you've heard there might be a shortage or simply bulk buying to save money last time you wanted some.
Most bog rolls come in packs of 4's, 6's, 9's or a dozen anyway and Costco simply wrap several of those together.

We have three lots of nine always. Have done for years. We only buy one pack of nine at a time as top up and haven't bought any since this thing happened.

Ditto.

We're not hoarding anything at all.
Just buying as we consume.
We go shopping a couple of times a week. Mrs Mick F was out today.

In the old days, we - and many people - bought a month's worth of shopping at a time.
We, as a family of four, would use "the two trolley" technique or even three trolleys ......... but these days, people generally go to the supermarkets .......... and there are lots of them nowadays ............... two or three times a week.

The supermarkets know this, and they stock accordingly.
In the old days, the fewer supermarkets stocked accordingly too.

Badly phrased, what I meant was "what makes you THINK you're hoarding with your six rolls" rather than "WHY are you hoarding".

I shop once every 3 months at Costco and buy a load of non-perishables (and a few treats, fresh fruit/veg).
After that it's not worth the trip until next time so do a fortnightly shop at the supermarket.

Just one in each bathroom. That comes to eight, I think.

Hi All, I admit to us having 18 rolls, but that is our regular stock.
We have kept our stocks at that level ever since I underwent Chemotherapy, since the my toilet time has increased exponentially, not a topic for polite discussion!
I haven't got space in the smallest room for a bidet, because it is very small.
We have never taken loo rolls from a dwindling stock, not guilty M'Lord :P .
And I've never taken the last Rollo either, always leave it for SWMBO. IGIMNCB MM

Ive got 54. In my defense they were on offer about a month ago and i was almost caught short  . One had to purchase 3 packs of 18 to get the discount and they were piled high in the store as usual. Farm Foods have had this on offer for years like this. Not been in to see if its still available. How quickly things can change. Dont all get the bums rush now, i need to get there first.
We store them under the bed and in the bottom of the hot cupboard.
At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway X2, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840 :D
