In the last Dimbleby lecture Sir Tim Berners Lee mentioned two other 'gifts' to the world in the same spirit as his gift of the free gift of the internet.... Wikipedia and Open Street Map! I have contributed a bit of cash and accurate information to both, they are brilliant.

He didnt mention The Wellcome Trust's gift of the sequence of the human genome which others wanted to patent and profit from.

On Thursday the government managed to sneak out its point based immigration guidance, which will exclude the very people who are right now keeping the wheels on.
