I rode a hired three speed with a cotter pin I had to hit with a rock, to the top of a mountain from where it is said you can see six kingdoms. I didn't, it was covered in cloud.
Not part of the UK or EU.
What mountain?
Which kingdoms?
Six kingdoms.

Six kingdoms.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

On a clear day six kingdoms can be seen from the top of Snaefell, Isle of Man: Isle of Man, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Heaven.

Yes indeed. There is a road and a railway to the top.
I had to go back to the hire shop to get basic tools and puncture kit. I don't think that they were used to the idea of a hirer going further than around Ramsey town.
Getting the thing down the hill with steel rims and calipers was as harrowing as getting it up.
On later trips I took one of my own bikes!

Isle of Man has never been a kingdom.
Sorry, not quite right, as it used to belong to Norway, but it ain't a kingdom now, and isn't even in the UK.

Some might dispute the actual existence of heaven too, let alone whether it is visible from Snaefell, even on a clear day, but it's a nice catchy saying.
