Askew

Postby Oldjohnw » 7 Aug 2020, 4:42am

Try typing the word 'Askew' in Google and see what happens.

Try typing 'do a barrel roll' (without the quotation marks).

You're welcome.

Hi
Some trepidation on the images that this might conjure up, but I had no idea

Don't worry it's safe :)

I just love Easter Eggs, amusing little treats within apps. There was one in Quark Express where an alien would come on screen and use his ray gun to delete grouped elements.

Nothing odd, and nothing to report.
Askew gives definitions, and barrel roll gives stuff about rolling a barrel or flying an aircraft.

Sorry, I don't get it.

Yep.
My default browser is Google.

MacBookAir running 10.12.6 Sierra.
I refuse to upgrade to anything more, as Sierra is fine and the later ones are not IMHO.

Could go to Catalina, but won't.

Google is not a browser

Curious why you feel 10.13 and later are not “fine”.

Both work for me in Chrome but do a barrel roll doesn’t work in Safari.

Google isn't a browser.It's a search engine.IE/Firefox/Chrome/Safari etc are browsers.
If you type Google into your search box and click on the link you'll get this(or click the link in my last post):-
Image
Type the phrases in the search box.
It may not work with Mac.It doesn't work on Safari on my iPhone.

Still the same results.

Type Google into my address bar, and Google comes up as it always does.
No issues at all with "ASKEW'.

If I were to upgrade beyond Sierra 10.12.6 my computer would be at odds with Mrs Mick F's computer and also our elderly iMac.
Plus, my beloved Ascent program which has ALL my bike rides recorded isn't reliable if I were to upgrade.
Ascent isn't supported any more, as Rob Bowyer who designed it has retired.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=128653
http://montebellosoftware.com doesn't work anymore as Ascent has finished.

10.12.6 is absolutely fine.
