No, didn’t attend.

Why? Well like most other people who didn’t attend my time is limited, it costs quite a bit to get there and I might even have needed a hotel room a night - my funds have limits too. I did vote though (via the post). Sometimes you just do what you can and accept that life ain’t perfect.

H’mm, point, this year I could have attended by some clever electronic trickery.

I’m not brilliant on computers and really aren’t certain how effective such mass meetings are when held over the web. Still, it would have been interesting to watch. What got carried and what didn’t?

No, I'd already voted and as attending would make no difference to any outcome couldn't see any point.

I gave my vote to the Chair, whether it was to be used as I directed or at their discretion is between me and them.

Why not
No, I didn't attend.
Why? Because I've had enough of CUK. Never forgiven them for dropping CTC. Putting the membership fee up is the final straw.
I won't be renewing next year.

So what happened? I couldn't find how to join online, and the website gives no info whatsoever. Utterly p''''d off with CUK by now, whether or not they passed the membership fee changes. It's just a self-serving organisation.

I had intended to join the virtual AGM and had registered to do so. It was my intention to vote against the changes in fees, and to ask a question in respect of the management of complaints.

I then reviewed my dealings with the organisation over the years and decided to abandon it and it’s appalling management. CUK is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with, it is poor at communicating, is inconsistent, lacks any quality control, and offers little benefit to its rank and file members, most of whom only benefit from insurance and legal support (the latter of which is much less valuable as “no won no fee” has diluted its effectiveness)

I will not be renewing so good bye CUK
