Here's a good one - slightly modified from something I googled:
So there's this guy who dies and goes to Heaven, and is greeted by St Peter at the Pearly Gates. St Peter says, "Please step into my office for a moment, we need to go through some paperwork before I can let you into Heaven."

Once inside the office, the man is amazed to see the walls stacked with shelves, floor to ceiling, with a myriad clocks crammed into every available space. He asks St Peter, what's all this about?

St Peter explains: "these are lie-counters: there's one for every person on Earth. Each time that person tells a lie, the clock advances one second."

"So whose is this?" asks the man, pointing at a clock pointing exactly to midnight.

"That's Mahatma Gandhi's. He never told a lie, so his clock's stuck at midnight."

"And what about this one?" pointing at a clock showing two seconds after midnight.

"That's Abraham Lincoln's. He's reported as only lying twice in his life."

The man searches around the shelves for a while, then says "I can't see one for Boris Johnson. Where is it?"

"Look above you. I'm using it as a ceiling fan."
Suppose that this room is a lift. The support breaks and down we go with ever-increasing velocity.
Let us pass the time by performing physical experiments...

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/nov/15/almost-225000-in-wages-and-freebies-taken-from-gambling-industry-by-28-mps wrote:On 7 July, the Conservative MP for Blackpool South, Scott Benton, took his seat at Wembley to watch England take on Denmark in the semi-final of Euro 2020, courtesy of the Ladbrokes Coral owner, Entain, a freebie worth £3,457.

Less than four hours earlier, Benton had warned parliament that a review of betting laws, widely expected to result in tougher regulation, must not be driven by anti-gambling “ideology”.

He called for casinos to be allowed more slot machines, adding that many people would be “concerned” about the Gambling Commission’s plans for affordability checks on people betting online and in person, a measure intended to prevent ruinous losses.

Days earlier he had enjoyed another day out, at Ascot, courtesy of the Betting & Gaming Council (BGC) trade body. In total, he accepted hospitality worth £7,495 during a gambling-funded summer of sport.

All in all, according to a Guardian audit, 28s MPs – 19 Conservative and the rest Labour – have taken almost £225,000 in wages and freebies from the gambling industry since August 2020.

Does anybody think Johnson will be doing anything meaningful about the corruption/rule breaking/sleaze and 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. jobs that keep MPs away from spending their time representing their constituents?

No.
Because Johnson and his disgusting government are the problem and not any kind of solution to it.

They gave the impression of having fallen short of these high standards because they had. Utter disgrace.

I thought his meaning was pretty explicit in intent (ignoring the actual words used). Words used were pretty clear as well. In my opinion, no way did he mean anything other than how it was interpreted. So not an apology at-all, just trying to worm his way out of something he didn't manage to achieve.

This kind of behaviour has become normalised within the conservative party, it is they who have put the con in conservative.
Another disgrace is that they are allowed to use the title Right Honourable, they are the exact opposite.

Watch the continuing saga of Paul Dacre and the watchdog job, a blind man on a galloping horse could see where that’s going. They are absolutely corrupt to the core.

"A leaked document has revealed which Conservative MPs and Peers funnelled companies through a ‘VIP lane’ for lucrative PPE contracts, without competition. A staggering £1.6 billion worth of contracts were awarded as a result of referrals from just ten politicians at the heart of the Conservative party. The leaked list of the 47 companies in the VIP lane, first seen by Politico, can be found here."

Thought you might enjoy this opinion piece.
Contains strong language.

Thanks, yes I read all Marina's columns, I pray I never get on her wrong side. A gifted writer, rightly feared by many politicians.

Johnson really getting down to sorting his sleaze issues amongst him MPs

...Final details are to be drawn up by the cross-party committee on standards.

But analysis of what is known so far of the rule changes suggest their impact on the 99 MPs who hold second jobs could be severely limited, with only a handful of MPs affected.
