I've twice had the pleasure of full Brocken spectres. And on the second I could see the conditions developing and led our group up to an appropriate peak... and there it was. (Or "they were" to be precise.) Ordesa, Pyrenees, October 2008.

Seen quite a lot of them in my hillwalking years, this was a particular good one
