Most prolific poster

Post by francovendee »

I think Mickf must come near the top but Jdsk must be the most prolific poster at the moment.
It's nice to see plenty of 'action' on the forum.

Yes, but half his content is telling us he's leaving/has left the CTC.

Ha Ha Ha.

Been on this forum since late 2004, but the stats for that have gone when the site was revamped.
The stats for that site went too, when THAT was revamped.
The present forum dates back to January 2007.

Have a read at my posts, there's only 3518 pages.

Just had a look at that list, took a bit of finding, I didn't know it existed.
I thought I spent too much time here, but Mick F has made five times as many posts as me in the same period and Jdsk a similar number in 2 years as I have in 14
Then I notice that Mick F has made two posts above that I'd have probably combined into one.

It was the number of posts by Jdsk that got me thinking.
I'm glad to see all the posts, especially ones that differ to my views.

Very much agree, Brucey was real gem and a mine of information.
I don't see any news of his return to the forum so expect he's still not up to posting again. :(

Blimey, I'm high on that list
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Yes, but half his content is telling us he's leaving/has left the CTC.
And the other half telling us he never wanted to join the EU

There was a bloke on BR who hit almost 300k posts over various incarnations of the forum. He was a volunteer mod until the forum changed ownership a couple of years ago.He was a very good mod for someone so young(I sort of know him) but he and another mod had a long running 'fued' which made for some interesting exchanges

Jdsk joined and moved in. Most welcome and his input is informative.

I admit to making a post or two to find something out. Say something that might be right that you need checking and if JDSK is around then you have your answer in a few minutes complete with links! He's our resident, professional researcher or librarian. Without a doubt he can Google faster and better than anyone.

BTW I mean no offence. You are impressive with the way you source information beyond what you post and even if you eventuality become the most prolific poster on here at least it will be full of worthwhile, helpful and informative posts.

I also remember the old forum and transferred across here in Jan 2007. I don’t make the leaderboard in terms of posts but appreciate (almost all) those who do. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I think with this forum (and the internet in general) it's easy to let the tail wag the dog, don't forget to get out on your bikes !
