Ouch...

Post by simonineaston »

So, if any of us was wondering exactly what climate change would actually look like for real and when it would begin, we now have a fair idea. No longer do we have to feel faintly embarressed when that potty old great-aunt who knits her own yoghurt and votes green turns up, we don't have to wonder what it's gonna be like to buy wacky white wines from some vineyard in Kent, nor do we have to wait to see who's going to try to swim the English channel (are they bonkers??) to get onto our fabuous jewel of a safe haven, here in late Great Britain - the wait is over, folks!
Now we see that it'll be a civil war, with the disbelievers physically attacking the people who want to do something and are prepared to stick their necks out trying. Now we know that everyone who tries to get here cos they believe it's one of the few safe places left, will risk death trying. Now we know that it's getting dearer and dearer to buy the things we always took for granted and that a lot of us are going to run out of cash just trying to live a normal life... now we know that living a normal life is no longer something we can all take for granted. How did that happen, I wonder ??
