It’s a cycling forum.
Think of cycling records associated with Lands End and I’m within a mile.
I'd already assumed that! Well, it's certainly not JOG, I don't think it's been done inside 40 hours by anyone yet. So somewhere in between.

I've never considered LEJOG myself - not even when I was younger and fitter. I once did SE England to Yorkshire, by a roundabout route taking in the Welsh borders, in 3 days. That was more than enough for me!
Suppose that this room is a lift. The support breaks and down we go with ever-increasing velocity.
Let us pass the time by performing physical experiments...

Andy Wilkinson did 41 hours and 4 minutes, with more than an hour lost to a mechanical failure (rear axle failure near Bristol)

As far as I am aware that is still the outright record.
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

I've always assumed you live somewhere in the Borders, but can't think of any cycling records (unless it's the time to crossing the border)....

Michael Broadwith's 24hour point on his record breaking LEJOG 17th June 2018. It’s 508.5 mls from LE 3 miles further on from Gethin Butler's, Johnstonebridge, 24hr point..

I know your current home town but cannot think of a particular cycling connection.
