... and instead of lasting 20 seconds, it can last ten minutes?

This has reminded me of a tale I heard about an older user of this forum.

One afternoon while talking about Miss Kendall. His wife asked him if

"he wanted to go upstairs and Make Love".

He sat and thought about this for a moment, then replied

My wife bought me a paper yesterday just for the picture of her on the front. :(

She does look remarkably good and the older male fantasy.

I remember Richard Briers being interviewed some time back, and he said it must be every blokes fantasy to be in bed with Fliss, and he'd been in bed with her many many times!

I'm not sure that it is (every blokes fantasy that is). I think that it's more likely that blokes really fantasize about the character that she portrayed in The Good Life. Having seen her in a several interviews before SCD, I would say that she came across as looking nice enough but not with the sort of personality that particularly rang my bell.

He's generally been lucky with his female sitcom partners; the first I remember was Prunella Scales in The Marriage Lines (and that was nearly 50 years ago, when she wasn't the busybody in the Tesco ads.) there was also Penelope Wilton in Ever Decreasing Circles.

si Posted while I was typing. Very true in real life she seems wooden compared with the screen characters. IMO.

Depends on what you term as Afternoon.

We were delivering Poppy stuff to the shops and hostelries in the village, and we just sort of drifted into the Bucc. It must have been about 5pm or perhaps 4.45?

We stayed for a couple or three ........

yeah, but she's on the same program as Anne Widders* so it doesn't really show.

*funny how she's now become a National Treasure.....maybe Mrs Thatch ought to go on strictly too
