other hobbies.

Post by hubgearfreak »

are you good folks that populate this virtual space so mad keen on cycling that you have no time for hobbies, or are we a diverse bunch that covers every interest in britain today.?

for starters, i like to grow the worlds hottest chilli peppers and later in the year will make sauces & pickles from my crops. none are ripe yet, but here's some of last years.

what do you like to do apart from cycling?

I sing.

I read.

I do Pilates.

I walk. (Used to run, until wrecked femur/patella problems caused by motor-bike accident in my youth put paid to that, which is kinda what brought me to cycling.)

I cook and bake. I do lot of preserving, too.

(Hubgearfreak: I used to make a wonderful smoked chilli sauce.)

I eat.

I eat food made with chillies!

I would like to get back to dancing salsa. Or maybe learn jive or ceroc.

I also love going to the theatre and cinema and gigs.

Ummm .. think that's about it.

eta: Your chillies look wonderful, Hubgearfreak!

Photography - I find it goes well with cycling too (except the squables for my wages between one hobby and the other!)

Tinkering.
Clocks.
Chainsaws.
DIY.
Gardening.
Listening to Mark Radcliffe and Liza Tarbuck. That stupid Steve Wright is back now - can't stand him!
Boozing: beer, wine, gin and tonic, Harvey Wallbangers, or anything I can get down my throat!
Food: lots of it, either cooked or raw.
Ironing.

Car detailing, photography, guitars and cycling are my main hobbies in no particular order, all expensive though
