I'm scared! And not because of how they look.
My mum used to knit me one each year when I was in primary school, navy blue made of course knitted wool.
She'd kill herself trying to pull it over my head - it was like trying to put a condom on a melon. By the end my ears were inside out and the pressure forced my eyeballs to pop out on stalks. Then I had to walk to school - and take it off.

Sorry, didn't mean to provoke any 'Nam-style trauma flashbacks
(Could've been worse, She could have edged the eye and mouth holes with white fabric, like Shirley's Mum did on Citizen Smith!!!!)
Go and have a lie down and watch the French News

My Husband has now gone all unnecessary, thanks to that vid.
I wonder if Urban Manc is annoyed that I hijacked his thread (Soz, Urban Manc.)

Nothing at all. I've ridden home off half-nights (finishing at 2-00am) wearing three: one facing forwards and the other two at angles so only a a narrow central strip of my mush was exposed. I've never had one of those freedom-fighter jobs with just the eye and mouth holes.
