Get more miles in, start some serious training.

Happy New Year all

To build some bicycle wheels. To become better at bike maintenance generally, in fact. But I will first need to make some space.

I find I do best with specific resolutions.

So for 2009 mine are:

Ride to work 5 days a week on some weeks (got up to 4 this year on my best weeks)

Get fit enough to do the Hadrians Wall ride in September.

to you all, I hope you get all you wish for in 2009.

Hi,
My resolutions include:

Do my first 200k Audax.
As I turn 50 this year I would like to get back to the weight that I was when 30 years old:
Re-commence training in karate as this year I have had a 12 month lay-off following a previous 30 years of continuous training.
Best Wishes
Paul

Having just looked at my mileage chart for 2008 (1,291 miles) I seriously need to get some miles in this year. And I`ve already missed the first club run of this New Year this morning!!

Safe and Happy Cycling to you all in 2009

Yeh that looks doable for me too........ E2E looking increasingly out of reach but a C2C isnt. I also aim to cycle to work more after a bit of a slide into the car world (due to the nature of work you understand :) ). Yes I know you can do anything without a car...........

Get fitter, lose more weight, do LEJOG (you can do it Biscuit) and get a better paid job in the same factory.

Me too. "More", "less", "some" are too easy to let slip. 14.6 Megapixels is specific. Either you get them or you don't. In my case, New Year resolutions are soon forgotten and it's status quo again. I don't know what the answer is. There are lots of things I know I should do, and at New Year I pick a few out and call them resolutions. Then I do nothing. So what would be helpful are some tips on making resolutions stick.
