Just Wiki'd it, and I think you're spot on, though there isn't a page specifically for the Dark Bush Cricket.

Just out of interest, is this "Dark Bush Cricket" indigenous to Britain? - and, Mick, how big was it in inches?

I said earlier. You must've missed it.

The body was about 2" long, and indigenous to our back garden!

Quite a beast, and no wonder it woke me up!

I don't mind picking up spiders as I quite often do in our house. At certain times of the year they seem to be more active and if one of the girls goes into the bathroom or they find one in the bedroom etc there's usualy a scream and DAAAAAD quick :lol:

but pick up THAT beastie no thanks
