What Line in a Song........
What Line in a Song........
do you find most relevant to your life?
As an old wrinkly, I have had the fortune/misfortune to work in a variety of companies, and the line that keeps popping into my head is from "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who. The line is at the end and is " Meet the new boss, same as the old boss".
Another line is by Steve Winwood, from "While You See a Chance", and is "While you see a chance, take it".
I have wished on many occasions that I had done just that.
There are many, many more, but I won't bore you with them now.

Some from the missing verse of The Boxer (Simon and Garfunkel), "after changes upon changes we are more or less the same". Always strikes a chord with me.

"I want to live my days, not count my years"
But I don't have any idea of the song title, or who sang it
Can anyone help?

'Im boring but overcompensate with headlines and flash photography'.
From 'Take Over, The Break's Over' by Fall Out Boy.
Pretty much sums up how my life usually goes, nothing much happens for an age and then suddenly amazing things happen to me and for a short while (in the circles in which I move at least) I'm the cause of much envy and the topic of conversation for a brief period. Then back to obscurity again.

"Life is what happens to you whilst making other plans" John Lennon,
Actually use it as a timely reminder that we should should focus on the here and now rather than always looking forward to tomorrow.

Molly dear", said he,
"Remember it's the pen, that's bad,
Don't lay the blame on me" .. from its a long way to Tipperary a First World War song I think. It was featured in the epic film Das Boot.

It takes me out there for a little while
