so can you tell me if the average roll of tape will be enough to go from the stem all the way to the end?

Not quite with the one I bought. Dunno about Moustaches. Unless you are buying expensive stuff (like £30+ Brooks leather). With reverse brake levers you don't need any fancy shennanigans around the brake levers, but I'd buy 2 reels as you'll need to refresh it sometime. Mind you even "cheap" imitation leather stuff is £10 a reel!

I like your red Raleigh 8) It's one of my favourite "not mine" bikes 8)

I can't decide on cloth tape for reasons of looks, tradition and olde worldeness, or one of the modern squidgy ones for comfort :?

I love that red Raleigh of yours Tim. Too big for me though  Nicklin chainset too - just like on a Moulton Series 1. I had one of those on my Sun Snipe - lasted donkey's years.

Hey Graham can you do chrome ends?

Graham - wot just can't decide :|

If you wear proper ycling gloves (yes I'm still a roadie at heart) it doesn't matter. But the Specialized Phat Wrap with gel pads is very comfy. My son recommended it and I have it on my Condor. :D

I wear gloves when I'm touring or going for long rides. It's more for protecting my hands in case I have a fall than anything else.

Two slightly odd questions this afternoon..

Firstly, can anyone recomend a decent (yet cheapish) bicycle carrier for the car - Needs to take at least two, but prefereably three aged roadsters!

On a totally seperate note, does anyone happen to know what the font might be for the 1950's Raleigh "The All Steel Bicycle" decals?
Thought I might wizz some up on the vinyl cutter at work!

Technically, I've got access to two, plus various CAM routers/mills  - I'm not terifically au fait with the software, although I am getting more used to it.

Bad news today though, the B33 I was given by a friend of mine has sadly decided to snap a rail. Brooks require £43 to repair and replace the non-standard rail I was using. Still, cheaper than buying a new B33 I suppose!
