My Raleigh Pioneer-framed tourer still going strong. Original bike cost me £70, plus about £250 slowly upgrading wheels (Mavic Open Sport, Deore XT(F) and LX(R) hubs), brakes (Tektro CR720s), Saddle (Brooks Swift) fitting drops (Nitto B105). I must have been more than 10,000 miles on it by now - best money I ever spent.

Despite having no need nor justification for a "new" bike, I can't resist bargains....and something different helps motivate me to struggle through my daily (well as often as possible) 12-15 miles.

A one careful owner Trek SLR with 30 speed Ultegra. At £210 it would have been unkind not to buy....

And for rainy days ('grds on order) a 5 y.o. Schwinn le Tour Classic 27 speed that had never been ridden. Basic stuff, but a Reynolds frame if only 520 and for £130.

At 50/39/30 and 11-25 too highly geared for me (and its weight), so swopped to an 11-34 rear with Deore mech. It is very comfortable!

Two really quite nice bikes for less than any one new really rather mediocre one!

That's a very nice looking bike :)

A rare chance to enjoy my Bianchi C2C in the Cumbrian sunshine. I used some "clip-on" mudguards and carried jacket etc in a Carradice Barley saddle bag supported by one of Carradice's quick release bag frames.

I really must ride this beauty more often!

Nowt wrong with your eyesight. :)

Still got that as well although I've never been a fan of it. The Primus 96 is the best.

I have several bikes and ride them in random order, depending on my fancy for the day, today it was my Vitus’s turn.
This was probably the cheapest bike to put together and I honestly think it’s the nicest of all of them to ride.
All of my bikes are good to ride, I pass on the ones I don’t like riding.
Previously I have had two 979’s and a 992 but this one is exactly my size and in good condition so is a keeper.
I have tried to analyse several times why it is so nice to ride, it’s comfortable, light and fast, whoever designed managed to get everything right in my opinion.
Still looking for a pale blue one in 53cm like a certain Irishman used to ride so if you have one I’ll take it off your hands if you like
