Shaving your legs?
Shaving your legs?
Summer is almost here, and time to shave your legs. Does anyone else do this or is it only posers like me? I am convinced there is a benefit, if you come off and suffer road rash it is more hygienic to dress the wound. Well, that's my excuse

No. I very rarely wear shorts, so there's no point (I think). Last time I came off, I gave myself a graze below the knee (through my trousers), I don't think any amount of shaving would have lessened the impact...
Suppose that this room is a lift. The support breaks and down we go with ever-increasing velocity.

It's funny you should mention it,I shaved mine tonight(calm down now ).Which is about a month late for me but I've not uncovered them in public yet as it's been too cold
I've been shaving my legs for 20years or more, the reason is that I look like a gorilla(albeit a thin legged one) if I don't,they get any amount of insects trapped in the hair, and they're much easier to massage after a long hard ride(not the insects,me legs ).
I've been called a jessie, vane,a poser etc, etc, but funnily enough usually by wimmin who,as it happens shave their legs because of vanity, posing effect etc
I can't deny they feel better, though I'm sure they don't look better but I prefer them shaved.
BTW I got a ball of hair about 3inch(75mm) in diameter off them with hair trimmers before slicking them up with a wet shave in the shower followed by an application of moisturiser .
Had a rummage in the bin in the bathroom:-
Sick or what!

Yes, shaved legs do feel good in fresh air when in shorts. I've just shaved my head as well, ready for a bandana like Pantani

Re: Shaving your legs?
Well I don't, but I never push myself too hard when cycling, so the effect would be lost on me anyway. My goal with cycling, as with most things is to put in as little effort as possible to get the job done, so shaving has never really presented itself as a solution to anything for me. I did burn a good bit of the hair off my chest once, but that was by accident

I purchased some Nair from the pound shop for this reason, had to buy 3 tubes to get to the card payment threshold.

Do you not train throughout the year - doe you not notice the benefit without those lumps under your full length tights?
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

I have classic Male Pattern Baldness with the surviving hair being fine thinning and very long. So now you mention it.
