Pretty pointless thread really? I know it’s a bit of fun but surely anyone can list thousands of, if not more, things they have done?

I would presume the vast majority of people will never have

Mugged an old lady
Robbed a bank
Committed burglary
Committed murder
Committed incest
Climbed Everest
Done a spacewalk
Stood on the moon
Broken a world speed record
Ran a sub 10 second 100 metres
Ran a sub 2 hour 2 minutes marathon
Done a long jump over 8.85 metres
Won a Grand Tour
Done a freefall parachute jump from over 30,000 ft
Stayed overnight at the White House
Conducted the London Philharmonic Orchestra ....

I could of course go on, and on, and on.

Hi,
I think the main point was to list some common things that most people do, that you don't.

I pay my dentist, and mot inspector to pass, everything else I do myself.
I could list the three things in my life that are not above.......maybe four :)

I started this thread in 2013 and it’s interesting to see it picked up again. It was indeed intended to highlight common practices that some of us eschew. I now have to add that I have never ridden an electric bike.....so far

Plus One
Maybe some who posted earlier have done the things they mentioned in the meantime
Mind, sometimes it is hard to be sure that one really has never done something

I have never ridden an e-bike, I would like to, to form an opinion, so I can argue better for or against, but I can go too fast even without a motor

I've never mastered one of those bikes where the steering has been "doctored" to turn in the opposite way (ie rotate handlebars clockwise, but wheel rotates anti-clockwise)

Similarly, I've never ridden a bike facing backwards.

However, on the plus side..........I'm still alive!! :D

Damn it. This thread has now given me an ear worm...

(What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?)

(Too much sex and violence. Too shocking even for channel 4)

I've never been insane, put my baby on a plane
With a suitcase that's alive and kicking
And your honour i confess that I've never tasted meths
Or hid a gun in a box of fried chicken
I've never been to Amsterdam, left my heart in Vietnam
Or sold gum on the streets of Mexico
Never smuggled pot or been murdered in my squat
Two stories from the top of a no go

I've never had to steel or sell my body for a meal
Cigarettes, alcohol or drugs
I've never had a tattoo or scar that wouldn't heal
Pump it up Jack, pump it up Jack, pump it up!
I've never been on strike, or a speeding motorbike
Been propositioned beaten up or mugged
I've got 20/20 vision but I've never seen the light
Pump it up Jack, pump it up Jack, pump it up!

And if you're looking for trouble
You came to the wrong place

...ask an indie yoof of the 90s if you've no idea what it's on about.

I've cycled though Glastonbury a couple of times.
Even sat in a cafe in the main street for a cuppa and an English pasty.

Do you mean Glastonbury Festival, or Glastonbury?

You can cycle through Glastonbury any time you like as free as you like.

I’ve been to Glastonbury a few years ago. It had everything I was looking for 40 years ago and couldn’t find.
