Yes, any name can be given to either a male or a female, there's no law against it. :)

But if you assume that a Lesley is female and a Leslie is male, you'll be right most of the time.

I finally told my suitcases that there would be no holiday this year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now having to deal with the emotional baggage.
