Me Da always called it a stroup pronounced like soup with a tr in.

"What did ye day wey the stroup for me wd40"

Just looked it up and that's what it is -- a pipe or spout of eg kettle watering can etc. Even windpipe -- probably came from Norse or Viking language. Used a lot in Scotland I believe.

It's a fruit jelly for spreading on toast, and it's made from apples and honey.
Quite nice.
