Re: View from the bridge

Post by fausto copy »

I was trying to get a shot of the sunset from this bridge the other day when these guys rode into view:
Bridge 01.jpg

Unfortunately the sky didn't redden as much as the previous evening (when I didn't have my camera  ):

And the following day I took this one of the rather charming Brecon wharf:

fausto.

Now then, how come when I get my images just down to within the 250k limit they come out so small, while other's seem to be a decent size in the postings?

Does this count? This is a Dutch snail near Bloemendaal in the NL climbing it's own span bridge onto my bike. After a fierce sandstorm and torrential rain during the night even the molluscs were hitching rides to get the hell outa there! Image

Well that certainly counts as one of the decent-sized shots I was referring to. :D

Out this morning down on the Bere Peninsula and passed by Bere Ferrers station.
This was the site of a terrible accident involving NZ troops in 1917.

I take it you have adhered to the true spirit of this theme and that your bicycle is in the photograph, lashed somewhere up at the front end (bow?).

:D I really like it, though I need to lower the gearing before I carry much load on it. And I'm attempting to break in a Brooks, so I'm not yet entirely comfortable on it. But yes, it suits me :D :D

And (!)new bike(!) hasn't worn off yet.
