west highland way kinlochleven

Would you take a touring bike (not loaded) on the WH route from Kinghouses to Kinlochleven or would it be not worth the struggle?

I walked it (in winter) a few years ago, on a bad weather day. I would not consider taking my touring bike that way.

Me too.
November.
Walking.
But even in summer I wouldn't want to take my bike.
Mind you, I do have a bit of a thing about keeping my bike on one piece.
I like alll of the spokes to stay within the wheel rims.

I walked it in October 2014. Defiantly full on MTB territory.

Someone at work did this on front suspension MTBs and said they'd have been quicker walking with the number of p*******s they stopped to fix.....

I've done the full WHW in both directions,North to South on a FS and South to North on a HT.I found the FS to be overkill and preferred it on the HT.Kingshouse to Kinlochleven isn't that bad but I'd not bother on a Tourer unless you're a skilled MTBer/Off-roader. .
I fancy doing it on my CX bike though!

Right ho thanks for replies.
Might just have a look at it - am staying in Kinlochleven. The WH way, Glen Coe and back up Loch Leven could make a convenient and interesting loop excursion
