Girona - bike shop and hotel

Post by mnichols »

Hi

I'm doing a ride from Pisa to Girona

Long shot, but can anyone recommend a bike shop where I can get a cardboard box for the flight back, preferably near a hotel with a shuttle bus or near a bus stop or short taxi ride to the airport?

Use google maps.

Pull up the area; use search box for bike shops (or hotels); each one shows on map and down left hand side; expand each one to see what sort of shop it is (ie likely to have a box); may even have contact details if you want it.

You can then search for hotels same way or use booking site eg booking.com.

Works for me and hopefully will at the end of my upcoming tour.

Girona is stacked with bike stuff and home to dozens of continental pros.

Try service course, or bike girona. But there are others.

Not sure about a hotel, but the bus stop is near the centre of town and the neighbourhood is nice.

Check out Federal Cafe, I think it's owned by Rory Sutherland (Orica Scott).

You can get bike boxes at Bike Breaks just behind the Rambla.
They also have a bike packing service and do airport transfers
Excellent food at the Federal cafe, good for breakfast

Thanks Sassy, that looks perfect. I have emailed them. Have you used them? Do you know how much they charge?
