Swansea to Fishguard
Swansea to Fishguard
We (3 of us) were looking to start a tour from Fishguard middle of June, but are struggling to book our bikes on the very limited trains available from Swansea. Does anyone know an alternative? We've already booked our train tickets from London to Swansea thinking we wouldn't have a problem then getting to Fishguard.

Re: Swansea to Fishguard
I used this train last year and there were 6 bikes on it between Swansea and Carmarthen. After there the train was almost empty. I don't think it would be a big problem to take the risk of getting on a train. If you are early or don't mind splitting up some of you get the first train that goes though Carmarthen and change there for the Fishguard train.
There is your way. There is my way. But there is no "the way".

Look at NCN 4 and NCN47
Bothe cover this route.
I did the coastal route to St Davids, then nipped up to Fishguard for the day train back to Civilisation

Civilisation? You must mean you took the boat to Ireland
There is no train yet
Entertainer, juvenile, curmudgeon, PoB, 30120
Cycling-of course, but it is far better on a Gillott

May be worth trying to book on a train to Haverfordwest instead? Not that far from Fishguard
