The cicerone guide to cycling in Spain is very good and has suggested routes in this area, including around Malaga and to Granada. I'd second el chorro, it's really great. By book 'in advance online' for alhambra, read several weeks in advance.i went at the end of march this year and the next 6 weeks were fully booked. I still managed to get in as at midnight each night any returned/refunded tickets are sold off.
