Is on his way from Edinburgh to Somerset on the last leg of his round the world tour ON A UNICYCLE, unsupported, carrying all his gear.
See Ed Pratt 'Athlete' on facebook for details some of which I've reproduced below
Dates:
12th July - Leaving Edinburgh
27th July - Finishing at School in a Bag HQ (Chilthorne Domer)
I WON’T be setting up any official riding days, so if you want to come out and ride with me (which you’re very welcome to do) the best way will be to track me down:
http://www.worldunicycletour.com/wheres-ed/
I hope this helps explain my plans for for the coming few weeks and answers the majority of the questions many of you have been asking me recently.
I’m pretty pumped to be riding my final 500miles on home turf and can’t wait to meet lots of you on my travels back home to Somerset.
I plan to try and intercept him somewhere in the midlands
Cheers

Not the first. A Japanese lad did this a few decades ago - I've never forgotten coming across him quite by chance when I was out on the bike.

Yes.
Ed's last YouTube post told how he was not posting any more clips while he crossed USA
He found the video editing too time consuming
Great guy
Great effort

Did this guy cycle around the world or cycle in lots of countries? I'm not sure this is comparing like for like but I could be wrong.

A BIG +1 from me too.
Not many true adventurists these days unless they have a pile of big name sponsors backing them. This lad is fantastic
PS,how come such a fantastic adventure with such a great cause attached to it doesn't make national news and Ed not hailed as a national hero?
