I'm thinking top to bottom of Norway next year, but that is as detailed as my planning has got

Or Geneva to Vienna would be logistically easy from Bristol Airport and could make that an end to end of Austria, Litchenstein and Switzerland

Only a fraction of what you've all done

Cycles of more than a couple of days include

- Reading to Bude
- LeJoG via Arran and Mull
- London to Paris via Avenue Verte
- Cycle tour of Cuba (organised and supported)

On my todo list is the St Malo to Nice - hoping to do it in the next few years.

I left the Blue Ridge Parkway off my list. That was a good tour. That was a business trip to North Carolina, extended by a few vacation days :)

My first tour was Nice-St Malo (I bailed at Limoges and got the train as I'd been pushing too big a gear and had knee pain-part of the learning curve). Dunno why now as it's pretty much flat up to St Malo once you've got over the rollers around Limoges-I suspect my problem was also the cycling style of my companions who would basically cycle until dinner time which is too late for me! A couple of years later I cycled St Malo-Antibes.

Don't understand the stuff about CTC It never occurred to me, sorry.

My tours are well spread out, from memory:
1975 with my dad, Fort William-Mallaig, circuit of Skye and back East to Inverness aged 9 on a 3-speed Puch Pathfinder & a ruckack
1982 post o-level jaunt with school friends. York to Holyhead and return through mid-Wales Shropshire & Derbyshire on a 10-speed Carlton with a saddlebag and bar bag made by my mum!
2017 York- Lucca on Hase Kettweisel with electric assist - I eventually got round to buying a pair of 20L panniers!

Future Ideas are too many to list. Retirement plans in 5-10 years (or hopefully less) to do the Frangenica(but I did a fair bit of that unknowingly last year) and maybe some kind of York- Dubrovnik round trip involving a couple of ferries, if I can get the 2-month 'pass-out'! :)

I can somewhat relate to that. Mini V (12) is a frequent utility cyclist. She rides her bike to school outside of the snowy season, and uses it to go places with friends. But she doesn't want to go anywhere with me by bike if she can do something with her friends instead, and she sees absolutely no point in using it to go for long rides, or somewhere she can take the train. Littlest (9) loves to ride on the back of the tandem, but is completely uninterested in his own bike. I've resorted to bribery to get him to ride it.

Me neither I've done some of my tours as a CUK member and some as a CTC member. On my early tours I was a BCF then BC member. None of these memberships made any difference to where I went or what I did whilst I was there.

This year lejog, next year the French end to end looks inviting.
Train London to Paris, train Paris to Adge, on the south east part of France, then cycle up to Calais, ferry, and then cycle home.

Unfortunately I cannot contribute to this thread other than to say what a great idea it was to start it. As for bragging I dont think so and any kudos gained has been well earned in my opinion.
