Semaine Federale 2019 - Registering

Post by Neil Wheadon »

Hi
I'm taking 37 CUK members this year and am in the process of registering them
If anyone else is registering hopefully this will be helpful

Website
https://www.cognacsf2019.com
The second tab from the left says Inscriptions, the top dropdown is Dossier, so click on that
The hyperlink is right at the bottom (under the bins at present)
Click on the Je m'incris en ligne (in orange) this takes you to
https://inscriptions-ffct.org/sf2019/select_competition

You need
Adulte licencié fédération étrangère de cyclotourisme
unless you are an FFCT member

Now the fun bit and this is what I have learnt via the really helpful committee
Click no on the top box - Etes Vous...
Nationalité - This is Brittanique (I looked for ages Anglais, though Ecossaise is there)
Activity - If you aren't going off Road, hit the Route button. The VTT option is off road and it will cost an additional 20 euros
18 Euros temporary membership of FFCT is mandatory, so with 32 euros it will cost 50 euros
For 18-24 year olds there is no non FFCT membership discount, they need to register as adults
At one point you will need to register your off site accommodation if you are staying somewhere else. I think you need the address and phone numbers
For your address the system recognises UK postcodes - neat!!

Good Luck

It's a shame they don't have the web site in English as well, since most of the world speaks it and not that many speak French. :(

They have done that in previous years, maybe an entire web page or maybe just the booking stuff - I don't recall. Last time I went the English version appeared a few weeks later, so perhaps it is on its way.

French is not so difficult, a good chance to try to learn it
Is the website offered in any other languages?

Cycling-of course, but it is far better on a Gillott

Just French, but Google Translate is a real help
I've had 3 really helpful E Mails from France (in English) so hoping that by sharing it reduces the burden

The English registration page often leaves a lot to be desired - the translations are often erroneous or incomplete.
I've only ever been able to register using the French version. I'm able to get by in French so I can navigate the instructions but probably the judicious use of Google translate would be the way to go.
