Hook of Holland parking

Post by climo »

Might take a car across to the Hook of H and park for 6 weeks. Any ideas where to leave it?
Before anyone says leave it here it's because we are riding trikes over to Austria and if we can't get back on public transport then we can go get the car etc. It's not much more to take a car on the ferry and gives us an emergency exit.

https://www.stenaline.nl/en-GB-nl/cross ... wich/ports €7.50 for each ofthe first two days, then €5 a day.

Other sites report Dutch authorities taking a dim view of long term roadside parking, especially of foreign vehicles. Edit to add: some suggest leaving cars at Rotterdam airport car parks or asking your first night's accommodation.

Was thinking of contacting a basic campsite (if there is such a thing) and giving them £50 to park in a corner of the field
