Cycling Kinross to St Andrews

Post by island girl »

Hi, I am leading a party of cyclists from Kinross to St Andrews and plan to take the following route. Would anyone with knowledge of the area advise if this is suitable re traffic and surface, we will be on road bikes. Or maybe suggest an alternative route.
Leave Kinross, head north round Loch Leven.
Dryside Road round Drumdreel Wood.
Backroads south of Cults, Chance inn, Craigrothie.
B939 through Ceres then all the way to St Andrews.

That's the usual route taken by the Edinburgh to St Andrew run and most others and consists mainly of quiet roads.....if any can be described as such these days.
