This was planned on plotaroute using osm cycle map the same as on my Garmin it may not be compatible with other maps

The forest road to Braithwaite was quite rough when I did it a few years ago. I was on my thorn with 1.6 inch tyres and panniers. It is rideable but you need to be careful on a couple of switch backs. I think I put a foot down gravel racer style in one place. I’d not contemplate it on anything narrower than 28 mm tyres? The road route is probably better unless you hit a very busy day.
Thanks I've revised the route to follow the road it also saves a couple of miles as well as missing the rough part

Just a question, which i think should be asked ...
If the ride where based around the weekends of the 7 - 8th or 14 - 15th would that be a non starter for any of the team.
Just think it's a shame we will lose Kev and Lynda ... and Julie .. with a mid week event..
However ...
If the mid week suits most then lets get on with it ...
Still looking for a Driver for the support van ..... all suggestions to me please.

Re: WIMPS Coast To Coast 2019
The dates were chosen because Nick who has the furthest to come had that week off work
If you allow only one day for him to get to the start and one day to get back that is five days
I must be a bit dense but a can't see how to shoehorn a three day ride into a two day weekend.
When I suggested doing it over two days I was told it was too much

How does that help when people have commitments Monday to Friday. Nothing would please me more than seeing Kev, Lynda, and Julie on the c2c can they really get that time off.? Can Nick.?

I don't think the two sites have electric hook up if you are relying on that.

Yes shame that Jules, Kev, Lynda, Steve and Cally can't make it, but I think any date is going to cause problems for some of us. The whole thing has been arranged at relatively short notice and a lot of work has been done. I think must go with the already arranged dates.

Re: WIMPS Coast To Coast 2019
We have booked for st bees on the evening of 9 Sept. I agree it is a pity some cannot make it but good that so many can.
Re: WIMPS Coast To Coast 2019
I agree, we would love to be able to do it but the needs of the many outweigh those of the few.
Hopefully we can catch up with you on another ride soon

I'm easy, weekdays suit me best but a weekend would be doable, however I'm also booked into the St Bees campsite on the 9th along with David, Nick and Chelle and their kettle.....
