Part of Next Year's Tour??

As we start the planning phase for next year part of the return ,from France, would possibly be riding from Portsmouth to Dover.
Wondering if anyone might comment on this route as we are from the us.

I rode the section you mention as part of a coast-hugging ride from Exeter, via the Isle of Wight, all the way to Whitstable.

Quite a lot of interesting sights along the way - some are classic Brit scenery (Beachy Head, Brighton, Dungeness) and some interesting wartime stuff (the "listening ears" (pre-radar) and the Battle of Britain Memorial).

If you send me a PM with an email addy I can send a printed map image (with the route marked) and/or a .gpx file which I have somewhere in the depths of my computer.
