Does anyone have the timetable for the bus that goes to Spain (Rosas on the Costa Brava)? - the EBE website doesn't have specific times (and of course at the moment there is nothing planned given the Covid situation)
I'm just trying to get an idea of time of day to pick up at Northampton and the arrival time at Rosas (and the return if possible)
Thanks

Re: European Bike Express timings
I have had a range of times for Northampton pickup. The earliest being 7.00am and the latest being around 10am mostly though it has been around the 9 to 10 am time.
There is your way. There is my way. But there is no "the way".

I've come back from Rosas twice, it's left late morning/lunchtime. The bus arrives a couple of hours earlier, dropping off at the pick up hotel, where the crew get well looked after. If you're already there, they'll load the bike then and tell you what time they're leaving, depending on where and when the first pick up is, so you can sit on the beach, in a bar, or get lunch or whatever. The last time I used it, 2016, four of us had the bus to ourselves for the first four hours, and because they had no earlier pick ups they left at least an hour later than scheduled.
I've only used it for return trips.

Thanks - it's really the drop-off at Rosas that I need - so I can work out the duration of the coach ride.

My two trips, Rosas to Trowell Services (Notts) have been 22 and 25 hours, some of it depends on the pick-ups and drop-offs, but of course also ferry times and traffic.

Ah - that looks like 0900-ish then at Rosas - so 24 hours on the bus . . . need to think about that one! (I've done Montpelier to Gravesend, in 2008, and that was a looooong time)
Thanks

Re: European Bike Express timings
I think it may be longer. My last journey took about 25 hours from Northampton to Perpignan and I would estimate Rosas is another hour further.

Here's hoping the Bike Express manages to run this year. A Happy and Healthy New Year to one and all.

Presumably they'll be busy reading what the EU deal says about occasional coach services and applying for any certificates needed.
I was told by a friend in the industry that one problem with falling back on the Interbus treaty is trying to run occasional routes where there's a regular service route is hard and is usually point to point or tour style.
