6-Day Inverness Loop!!

Catching the train to Inverness in a couple of weeks. Intend doing a 6-Day cycle-camping loop from/to Inverness. Would like to take in as many wilder trails as possible and take advantage of wild camping opportunities. Heavy duty touring bike, balloon tyres, panniers.
Have done all of my cycle travelling abroad and not been to Scotland before (on bike). Am considering loops out West and back or even South East into Cairngorms. The wilder the better but will need to get supplies once in a while.
Any suggested routes from those in the know?
Thanks

Glen Affric is good, take a warm sleeping bag and socks.
Just remember, when you’re over the hill, you begin to pick up speed.

Re: 6-Day Inverness Loop!!
Check out my trip last year. I cycled up from Inverurie and passed through Inverness before reaching Ullapool and beyond.

You'll be in breach of the current covid regulations if you do this.
The earliest you are likely to be able to travel within the Scottish mainland is 26th April

Further to above it is illegal to cross the border between Scotland and England for non essential purposes at this time.
By all means plan routes but not dates at this time.
Re: 6-Day Inverness Loop!!
If you are set on starting in Inverness have a look at the section of the Great North Trail from Contin or Garve up to Oykel Bridge. 4km before Oykel Bridge turn west on the Ullapool Road as described in the Cicerone guide to mountain biking in West & North West Scotland. From Ullapool its a road ride back to Inverness which can be truncated by using the train back from Garve (as can the ride out)
Of course there are many other reasonable access points to the GNT further south: Dalwhinnie, Corrour, Rannoch, Glasgow

I agree he will be in breach but you’ll be lucky to get a reply as a new member he started 5 threads around 21-22 March and hasn’t replied to any of the posters offering advice.
Hope I’m wrong, but it looks like another person using the forum as google which is just rude.
If people do offer advice, thank them, it’s not difficult.
