You can look up the train number from the DB Bahn website and find out the number of bike spaces that train has, and in many cases see photographs of the bike facilities. This is especially useful if you want to travel with a group, as you can easily see if the trains you are looking at have enough bike spaces for your group.

The most successful period was undoubtedly the 17-18th century. Thisis probably the best book on that: https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/fi ... E1F0606D85
After this, the Industrial Revolution came late, and only at the very end of the nineteenth century. The real modern succcess story only started after WWII with the integration of the European market which allowed us to benefit from our location like we did in the 17-18th century.
I’m still thinking of going back to Switzerland and France in September and finishing off EV17 from the source or the Rhône and finishing in Marseilles.
It gives me something to aim for even if it isn’t possible for September. I’ve booked flights in the off chance but not added baggage etc at the moments so I might be £50 out of pocket or can move my booking to something else. I am fully vaccinated and with jabs from the approved UK factories according to the batch numbers. We will see and make a decision closer to the time IF travel is permitted into Switzerland and France in September and it looks like a sensible idea. Who knows.
London - Cornwall - Bristol - London. Supposed to be travelling from Canada.
All going to be cancelled. Thank you Boris for wrecking everything. Your policies are about as clear as mud. It is unlikely I will ever go back to England, and will choose Europe, where they actually want tourists.
A short trip around south west Scotland, including Galloway Forest, been planning this since the first lockdown, fingers crossed for decent weather now...
