Is this an app to facilitate camping in participating people's gardens?

It seems that this initiative started in Belgium just over 1 year ago. If you look at the map it has grown rapidly in Holland and Belgium. Be worth sharing with local groups in order to grow it in the UK.

Wasn't this (or similar UK scheme) posted about, a couple of years ago.

I seem to remember the price was high for basic facilities, but then again that is often the UK way.

Is the concept identical to Warmshowers, but you don't get a shower, or get to come indoors?

(is a toilet facility included?)

Why not - it seems to be what is recommended (paraphrased as I can't copy):

If no toilet is offered, pee behind a tree and poo in a bag to throw away the next day.

It's worth reading the FAQs in the link, many questions answered.

It also says water may not be offered. I tend to think these are the worst case scenarios.

I stayed once on a small campsite that was really only for caravans, and had no sanitation facilities. I had to pack up and leave very hastily in the morning to find the nearest field. I wouldn't want to offer that in my garden!

Oh right, I should have read through the FAQs - also says, "Apply the Leave No Trace principle as you would when camping out in the wild." Fair enough.

The whole concept is an interesting initiative. Even makes you wonder what it says about the way society is going (in a positive way, for once).
