B&B in Strathdon, Grampian

Post by island girl »

Hi, can anyone put me in touch with a B&B or Guest House in Strathdon, Grampian. Cycling touring through there and looking for one overnight stay. Googling doesn't throw up anything, only places south in Ballater etc.

Probably your best bet is to look in google maps, well zoomed in.

This is the only place I could see between the Kildrummy Inn and Tomintoul

There are also places in Alford and Tarland, if they are handier than Ballater.

Most places are self catering, aimed at people staying a week or so, with a car.

There's also what's on google maps as "Glebuchart Hall and Bothy"
Looks like just a village hall https://glenbuchathall.com/ but the "bothy" bit may mean there's an outbuilding you could kip in, if you carry a sleeping bag.

Thank you all. I have just booked the Kildrummy Inn and re plotted my route. Looking forward to cycling in Aberdeenshire.

I'm in Inverurie.
Moved here 7 years ago. Love Aberdeenshire and the northern coast; Banff, Portsoy, Findhorn.
Soft rolling hills. Keep off the A96 & A98 and you'll be fine.

Always on a Thorn Raven/Rohloff hub.
