I’ve cycled up the Spanish Portuguese border before. Lots of castles, often felt pretty remote- plenty of fun. Old style though- got a map and drew a line. Opportunity to link with the Camino type routes ones in northern Spain and the euro Velo 1 does the coast esp up through France.

Re: Faro to St Malo 2022
After I posted my question , I found your crazyguy journal. I knew then that you would and could cycle it. Again, hats off.
You are almost the polar opposite to me - I partly say this as you are going north and me south (ho, ho). I am taking 6 weeks to go Porto to Faro, you about 6 days to get to the Channel.
I like taking it easy, hate the wet and cold, etc etc. November across France isn't for me. My last 2 times were June, one when the wimps were complaining it was too hot, although only in the mid 20s. Quite cool by my normal standards.
Enjoy your trip and post a link to crazyguy - I'll read it when tucked up at home with the heating on.
